Since 2019 we have been organizing two‑day off‑site teambuildings for Commerzbank — designed not only to strengthen the team and relationships, but to develop skills for life.
For seven years, each year, participants step into new roles and real‑world situations: experiencing what it’s like to be a mountain guide, a visually impaired person, a first responder, a provider of first aid, navigating terrain, handling whitewater, or creating totems inspired by Indigenous traditions.
These events are intentionally designed with a survival element and built on the principle that we don’t learn skills “just for the company,” but practical, transferable abilities employees can use in everyday life — from equipping a first‑aid kit to managing crisis situations.
This long‑term collaboration strengthens the team, mutual trust, and the ability to cooperate under demanding conditions.
The teambuildings have become a beloved part of the company culture — and an inspiration for international branches as well.
